Description
This is an authentic 1907 production Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 288196, chambered in .32-20 WCF. A classic example of Colt’s iconic frontier revolver, this piece has survived over a century with much of its character intact, showing honest wear while still maintaining solid mechanical function.
The revolver retains approximately 45–50% of its original blue and case-hardened finishes. The barrel exhibits about 50–60% original blue, fading to pewter tones along the left side and ejector housing. The cylinder shows a mottled mix of blue, gray, and pewter, while the frame displays a brown patina with noticeable but still visible case-hardened colors, particularly in protected areas. Surfaces show scattered pinprick pitting, scratches, and handling wear consistent with use in the early 20th century.
Fitted with factory hard rubber grips bearing the Rampant Colt logo, both numbered to the revolver, these remain in good condition with moderate wear to the checkering, more pronounced on the right panel. All major parts are correctly numbered to the gun, and it continues to function mechanically. Chambered in .32-20 WCF, this revolver represents a less common but highly desirable caliber among Colt collectors.
