Description
This U.S. Colt Cavalry Model Single Action Army revolver was manufactured in 1881 and reflects the rugged utility and history of military sidearms from the American frontier. Chambered in .45 Colt with the correct 7.5-inch barrel, this antique model bears the partial military cartouche dated "1880" over the grip, suggesting original government issue.
Though it has undergone a non-professional refinish and exhibits typical wear for its age—including softened edges, partial markings, and pitted metal—it remains a historically valuable piece. The grips, while bruised and cracked, are better preserved than the metal finish suggests, and the revolver is in fair, working mechanical condition.
